Zeeshan Chawdhry

Zeeshan Chawdhry is an undergraduate student at the University of Calgary, in the Bachelor of Science, Neuroscience program. His research interests lie at the intersection of neuroscience, aging, and acute care, with a particular focus on optimizing clinical outcomes for vulnerable populations in emergency settings. Zeeshan is currently involved in a scoping review titled “Agitation Management Strategies for Older Adults in the Emergency Department or with Emergency Medical Services” which aims to map existing evidence on approaches to managing agitation in older adults across pre-hospital and emergency department environments.

In addition to his academic work, Zeeshan serves as the Neurobiological Team Lead and co-founder of MIND (Mechatronics Integration of Neural Dynamics), a multidisciplinary initiative developing a brain computer interface controlled exoskeleton arm to support individuals with neuromuscular impairments. He also holds leadership positions as President of RED (Reforming Education on Drugs), which advocates for evidence-based drug education, and RFLO (Run for Little Ones), a student-run nonprofit that raises funds for neonatal intensive care through annual community initiatives.

Zeeshan is committed to integrating neuroscience with translational research and innovation, with long-term goals of contributing to interdisciplinary solutions in emergency and geriatric care.
