Sarah Salvis Sarah currently works as the Paramedic Services Chief for the District of Timiskaming Social Services Administration Board, in Northern Ontario. She was previously employed in various roles with Peel Regional Paramedic Services, including as Advanced Care Paramedic on Peel’s Tactical Team and member of the Covid High Risk Response Team. She started as a paramedic in 2008 and has pursued paramedic mental health awareness advocacy opportunities throughout her time in the profession. She maintains a strong interest in evidence-supported decision making as a leader and is continually looking for ways to improve implementation of initiatives in her workplace. She graduated with distinction from the MSc in Global Healthcare Leadership at the University of Oxford in March of 2025. She was selected as a class representative during her time on that program. Sarah also holds an Honours Science Degree, Specialist in Paramedicine, from the University of Toronto. To maintain her positive mental health Sarah tries to stay active in the community, curls up with a good book, runs with her friends, eats good food with her fiancé, or spends time in the great outdoors whenever possible. She is not a fan of writing bios about herself in the third person but will do so if pressed. Her mid-life crisis pursuit was (and continues to be) learning how to skateboard while not sustaining too many injuries. She can be found on LinkedIn but otherwise tries to avoid social media. |
