Sarah Ropp

Sarah is an Advanced Care Paramedic and an Education and Research Specialist with Peel Regional Paramedic Services (PRPS), bringing 17 years of progressive frontline, education, and research experience to her work. She holds a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University (2007) and has completed both Primary Care (2009) and Advanced Care (2019) Paramedic diplomas (with Honours) at Humber College.

In her current role as an Education and Research Specialist, Sarah serves as the internal project manager for four human randomized controlled trials within PRPS: PITSTOP, EpiDOSE, DOSE VF, and OPTIVO. Driven by a commitment to continuous improvement, she has developed and implemented process innovations across all active trials, streamlining workflows, reducing administrative burden, and strengthening protocol adherence to ensure research runs efficiently and with integrity from initiation through to completion.

Beyond research, Sarah is a certified IMS 300 practitioner and subject matter expert in Mass Casualty Incident management; she has designed and delivered comprehensive MCI training to over 717 frontline paramedics across PRPS. Additional roles include Community Paramedic Practitioner (CPP), Acting District Superintendent (ADS) and Acting Supervisor of Education & Research.

Passionate about advancing evidence-based paramedicine, Sarah focuses on translating rigorous research into meaningful improvements in the prehospital setting. Outside of work, she channels that same dedication into empowering the next generation of female athletes as a fastpitch pitching instructor and assistant coach, helping young women reach their full potential on the diamond.
