Joe Acker Joe Acker is the Deputy Secretary for Community Mental Health and Wellbeing in Tasmania's Department of Health. He leads multiple state-wide health teams including Ambulance Tasmania where he was Chief Executive for the last two years. With over 32 years of paramedic system experience, he has held leadership positions with British Columbia Emergency Health Services and Alberta Health Services. Joe has a track record of leading complex transitions in international government health systems and extensive experience in paramedic education and research. He has 20 peer-reviewed publications and holds a Master of Arts in Leadership. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tasmania. |
