Jeremy Caspell Jeremy Caspell is an Advanced Care Paramedic with Alberta Health Services EMS and currently completing a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Thompson Rivers University. He completed his Primary Care Paramedic certificate at Alberta Health and Safety Training Institute in 2011 and was awarded his Advanced Care Paramedic Honors Diploma from Professional Medical Associates in 2016. In addition to his frontline ambulance role, Jeremy is also a member of the Incident Response Paramedic and Rapid Access Paramedic (bicycle) teams. He has also worked in various ski/bike patrol positions at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park and a paramedic instructor at Professional Medical Associates. Jeremy’s future research interests include paramedic wellness - specifically how to quantify the effects of shift work for evaluating recovery and mitigation strategies – further investigation of EMS and Intimate Partner Violence, and other EMS system-level solutions targeting improvement in patient-centered outcomes. |
