Janna Newton

With a background as a Primary Care Paramedic in the Calgary Zone, Janna has spent time providing care on the frontline and learning about the challenges facing Alberta’s healthcare system. Driven by a desire to create meaningful change beyond the ambulance, Janna pursued a Master of Public Policy degree. Throughout her graduate studies, she delved into the intricacies of policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation, focusing on health policy. Drawing upon her real-world experiences as a paramedic, she brought a unique perspective to her academic pursuits, seeking innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes and enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery.
